Abundance and Joy

Cinn Abundance and Joy

Yesterday I found this drawing that I did of our dog Cinnamon a couple of years ago.

Every night my husband Harold and I each create three lists in an 8.5″ X 11″ sketchbook.

We reflect on our days and note the things that we are proud of, the abundances in our lives, and the joys of the day. We’ve been doing this for about 5 years.

When we started to do it, it was tough to get three or four items in each category for the day. Now we easily fill our pages.

I remember that on the night that I did this drawing, I looked at Cinn and was overwhelmed with love, joy, and a feeling of abundance.

So, instead of listing my items for that day, I just did this drawing. The proportions are all off, but the feeling is unmistakable.

I don’t do much drawing because it doesn’t feel easy or comfortable for me. This drawing shows me that when my heart’s in it, it’s not only easy and comfortable, but it is simple, too.

P.S. That’s a dog toy named Rude Dude that’s in the crook of her leg.
