I Found Beauty In A Scrap Heap
Went to the Railroad Museum to sketch and had one of those extraordinary experiences of seeing with new eyes.
There’s scrap heap that sits between the Electrical Substation and the Diesel Locomotive Restoration Shop.
I’ve walked by that scrap heap many times, but yesterday, something about that heap caught my eye. The play of light, the shapes and colors, and the busy mother bird who had four nestlings in a nest crammed into a crevice in one of the phone poles.
There was a very small rusted locomotive stacked on top of four wheels and a bunch of other rusted junk.

Made me wonder what other beauty I’m missing as I bip along filtering out the scrap heaps of my life.

The world is so small! I just opened my own blog to news that you, too, have been blogging in recent days. One click and I get to see your paintings in vivid display.
Even though, in our coaching partnership, we are in contact all the time, this one click link somehow brought you right to my door!
Much love to you, Lynne.

It makes me wonder too. You have inspired me to look for it! Thank you.
