The Joy of Being: Effortless Flow
The writing flowed effortlessly today, because I was being a writer.
I decided to tend to being a writer and nothing else. Just to step into my reinvented self and live from there for today. ‘As if.’
All day, I ‘felt’ my way along the path of doing, by being a writer.
If this sounds a little impractical and woo-woo, I can relate.I refer you to an article about the fish mongers at Pike’s Place Fish Market in Seattle. I learned how to ‘be’ something from them.
The book, When Fish Fly, written by the owner of the fish market, John Yokoyama, is also an excellent and practical reference for how to be your reinvention.
These fish guys wanted to be ‘world famous’ but they had no idea what that meant or how to be world famous. Long story short, they learned to show up every day, being that intention/commitment, and the HOW was clear to them as they moved through their days. They were inspired to the right next action.
Same thing happened to me, this magical day.
All day, I ‘felt into’”‘what’s next?”, as I surrendered to the current and flow of being a writer, letting it carry me.
And I was astounded at the clarity that was available at every turn.
